  • Background

The OG archivists among you may be able to piece together from a combination of distant memory and cellar notes that this is our seventh official dessert wine release. It also represents the swan song of our now 17-year aged estate Zinfandel brandy that has fortified five of the seven (two were late harvest Zins, unfortified). This “final round” is meant to be savored in slow-roll fashion — time waits for no one, but fortified dessert wine has plenty of patience. [A note on the bottle: Unlike the “rolling pin” 375ml format we used for the 2007 and 2010 vintages, this squat 500ml edition gave us ample surface area to reproduce the full namesake artwork by our Uncle Buntin, a.k.a. Dad’s brother Ansel. It’s... a whole thing.]
