Wherefore
Although it comes from our Big Field vineyard block, we named this wine Eastside as an homage to our erstwhile Westside Zin (retired when the vineyard was pulled out in fall 2017). Big Field, the first vineyard our parents planted in the early 80s, was replanted in 2009. Its first standalone bottling was our 2016 Eastside Zin; due to a skipped vintage in 2020 this is vintage no. 6.
