2015 Chaos Theory Magnum

  • Tasting Notes

Nose of dried rose petals, candied orange peel, and spun sugar — think bubblegum and cotton candy — with herby eucalyptus, subtle sweet cigar tobacco, and an abundance of bramble fruit. Palate leads with notes of blackberry and boysenberry followed by creamy hints of burnt caramel and sassafras evocative of crème brûlée. Medium tannic finish lingers on the palate, begging another sip. Drink now through 2027.

  • Background

Chaos Theory began as a one-off blend of cabernet sauvignon and zinfandel that David created for our first participation in the annual Premiere Napa Valley trade auction. It made such a splash that he went back to the cellar to dial in the details so we could make it a permanent part of our lineup. Chaos Theory echoes our journey through the world of wine, consistently proving that the best is yet to come, there’s always something to look forward to, and no matter how random or chaotic things may seem, amidst the mayhem there is method and meaning to all that we do and experience. Simply put, All’s well that ends well!
