Brown Estate is a private family owned and operated estate winery tucked into the hills east of Rutherford in the Napa Valley.

With a dream of owning a family farm, our parents put down roots in the Valley in 1980. Between 1985 and 1990 we planted a total of fifty acres of vineyards that include Zinfandel, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Chardonnay. Through our first decade of farming the land, we sold all of our fruit to a variety of small local wineries.

In 1996 we produced our first vintage of Zinfandel under the Brown Estate label, and subsequently have expanded production to include Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, our Chaos Theory blend, and Petite Sirah.

This year we celebrate our 30th year in the Valley and our fifteenth crush. As we observe these milestones, we take great pride in the fact that every aspect of our business remains under direct family control.
